Jeff Dawson

Jeff is the Owner and Head Coach of FORT Strength Performance Centre. He is also a certified Advanced Care Paramedic. For over seven years, Jeff was a paramedic for the Ontario Provincial Police Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU or more commonly known as SWAT) and has done some para-medicine on fixed-wing aircraft. Strength training and nutrition has been Jeff’s passion for over a decade. He opened FORT Strength Performance Centre because, as a paramedic, he has encountered numerous patients who have lost their sense of independence requiring help off of the ground/floor. As a result, he wants to provide anyone who steps foot in the facility that chance to remain as independent as possible during their retirement years. He holds certifications in kettlebells under Jeff Martone and nutrition under Robb Wolf. In 2010, Jeff competed in the Ontario Regional in Toronto, placing 7th out of 93 competitors. This qualified him to move on to the CrossFit Canadian Regional held in Okotoks, AB where he faced the best in Canada. He stepped out of the CrossFit world and endeavoured in the powerlifting realm. In November 2012, he competed in his first powerlifting competition where he placed 2nd.

Here are Jeff’s other accomplishments in powerlifting: November 2017: 1st place Master 1 105kg Ontario Provincial February 2018: 2nd place Master 1 105kg Canadian Nationals November 2018: 1st place Master 1 105kg Ontario Provincial November 2019: 1st place Master 1 105kg Ontario Provincial In May 2013, Jeff participated in the EliteFTS Learn To Train 6 Seminar in Columbus, Ohio where he learned from some of the best powerlifters in the world. Jeff strives to offer the best strength and conditioning facility in Kingston. Body weight: 103kg / 226.6 lbs Squat: 525 lbs training / 237.5 kg (523.6 lbs) competition Bench: 424 lbs training / 185 kg (407.9 lbs) competition Deadlift: 575 lbs training / 275kg (606.3 lbs) competition Shoulder press: 230 lbs

Kari Robinson

Kari Robinson is a dedicated athlete with a background in gymnastics. She believes that everybody has the potential to achieve their goal, as long as they have a plan. Kari's happiest when providing one-on-one training with clients and watching them as they get stronger, fitter, and more confident on their fitness journey.

Jody Mcgee

Functional fitness is about more than just strength. Judy Mcgee will put even the most hardened athlete through their paces, building up their endurance with punishing workouts. She loves working with new and experienced clients, seeing how far she can push them on their fitness journey. Jody is also firm about approaching fitness with a reliable technique. She spends most of her classes drilling clients on the importance of proper form over heavy weights.

Walter Carr has a passion for understanding how the body moves. He's our premier physio coach, who is always on hand to help new and experienced clients. Walter is more than happy to guide novices through the basics, and he's consistently on hand to help experienced athletes improve their form to get even more substantial gains.
